What I hadn&#8217;t anticipated was feeling like I\u2019d been dragged through a hedge backwards! Looking back, I really wasn&#8217;t feeling myself. I felt so fragile and emotional and just couldn&#8217;t seem to just relax and start enjoying Felix. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My mum suggested I should get some extra support. My partner and I found Louise really quickly and it was such a relief to have someone calming and reassuring on the end of the phone. She came to see us the next day and managed to put our minds to rest. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>One of the main things she managed to do was make me realised that all my emotions and feelings were completely normal. We talked through so many different things about caring for Felix&#8230;.the conversation just flowed. I honestly felt like a different person when she had left. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In my everyday life I&#8217;m a confident and &#8216;together&#8217; sort of person so I wasn&#8217;t expecting to feel so overwhelmed. Louise helped me feel that I wasn&#8217;t alone and I hadn&#8217;t &#8216;failed&#8217; at being a parent. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Looking back that does sound a bit silly but I think because my emotions were all over the place, I was struggling to get a grip!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>All in all, Louise built my confidence with Felix and gave me evidenced based advice which was such a relief as I had been reading and hearing so many different opinions which ended up just confusing me as it all seemed to contradict each other.
